I’m Doing a Podcast!

If you’ve been reading my newsletter for a while, you know by now that I like to play with technology. It’s fun to explore new ways of being more efficient at work and at home. To that end, I’d like to announce that I’m branching out and offering up my content in an exciting format – Podcast!

I’ve been working on this for a while, and some kind colleagues have been generous with their time and came to talk with me in the recording studio. We are in the final editing stages and hope to kick-off the podcasts soon.

In the meanwhile, here are some of my favorite podcasts to get us in an audio mood. I love listening to podcasts when I’m in the car (long drives to scout out industrial sites are great opportunities to listen to podcasts).

Here are some cool podcasts you might want to try:

Akimbo With Seth Goden.
Seth’s describes his podcast like this: “Akimbo is an ancient word, from the bend in the river or the bend in an archer’s bow. It’s become a symbol for strength, a posture of possibility, the idea that when we stand tall, arms bent, looking right at it, we can make a difference. Akimbo’s a podcast about our culture and about how we can change it. About seeing what’s happening and choosing to do something. The culture is real, but it can be changed. You can bend it.”

Meaningful Monday’s with Lee Brower
Faithful readers know I’ve been a fan of Lee’s for years. This week he aired an interesting episode discussing reactivity versus creativity.

Radiolab
I love this one. Created by Jad Abumrad and hosted by Jad and Robert Krulwich, Radiolab has won all sorts of fancy awards for their work investigating what they call a strange world. They use science to make science accessible. One of the hosts has won a MacArthur Genius grant, and the show often tours in sold out shows across the country.

Inside Strategic Coach
This is another long-time must for me. I’ve worked with Dan Sullivan for a long time, and find great value in his insight and inspiration that he offers entrepreneurs.

The Daily
The New York Times produces this podcast that regularly offers up interesting, thoughtful news and features.

Podasts are a great way to hear and try new things. Whether you are looking to laugh, cry, get inspired or learn a new skill, there’s a podcast for you. They are easily accessible and can be a fulfilling way to spend some time.

I’ll be sure to let you know when Cardinal Insights: The Podcast is ready. It’s coming soon. And if you ever want to talk about useful or inspiring tools that can boost your productivity or make your company more efficient, give me a call.

Real estate transactions can be fraught with frustration and pitfalls.

Sometimes the hardest part turns out to be working with your broker, the person who is supposed to help you through the complexities. Veteran commercial real estate broker and client advisor John Culbertson discovered that brokers’ interests aren’t always aligned with those of their clients. He realized there was a better way to advocate for clients and get the deal done.
