THE STORY

Brennan Investment Group (BIG) is one of the largest private owners of industrial real estate in the US. BIG’s value acquisition standards were a sieve that few deals could pass through as the bull market in industrial real estate grew. Principals wanted to find off-market deals but it was difficult to do so given the group’s exacting standards.

John and BIG chairman and managing principal Michael Brennan made a handshake deal. John would source deals for the firm in exchange for a chance to have some skin in the game. John was brought on to the BIG acquisition team and investment committee. BIG was soon on the pulse of the market and well known by brokers in the region.
